Team Penske today announced changes to the organization’s three NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) teams that will chart a new direction for the upcoming 2020 season. Team Penske will reposition its existing winning crew chief lineups across its NCS program.

Following the announcement that Quin Houff joined Star Com Racing as the full time driver, both the team and Landon Cassill said that they both have a partnership set for the 2020 season.

By starting this years Daytona 500, Ryan Newman passed Dale Earnhardt for 6th all time one the most NASCAR Cup Series starts by a driver.

With the NASCAR Cup Series car featuring a significantly small spoiler and modifications to the oil pan and splitter, the resulting reduction in downforce produced far more competitive racing than fans witnessed in two Phoenix events last year.

"I am going to do only one full-time Xfinity car that I will manage myself with a small group of guys, and for the Cup Series, we will probably run that car once a month if we can get the sponsorship."

NASCAR is expected to announce early this next week that practice and qualifying for all three NASCAR's top series are expected to return at Talladega in late June.

NASCAR and Bristol Motor Speedway today announced the format for the NASCAR All-Star Race, including the introduction of a ‘choose rule’ that will allow drivers to choose which lane they line up in for restarts.

"With recent crashes at Pocono and Kentucky, we have too much work for our shop guys to go and gamble on wrecking a car that we will need at New Hamphshire," stated team owner Carl Long. "We are all disappointed, but it is strictly a business decision that we had to make."
