Former ARCA Menards Series Driver Buck Newland Dies at 79

Driving Fords fielded out of his shop near Dayton, Ohio, Newland was an annual competitor at ARCA’s season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway, finishing 11th in 1970, 10th in 1976, ninth in 1974 and seventh in 1971 in a race won by Iggy Katona.

Clint Bowyer to be Inducted into Talladega Walk of Fame

The City of Talladega will host its first Talladega Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony and Block Party in nearly nine years on Friday, April 22 (5-9 pm CDT) at Davey Allison Memorial Park. The event will help kick off Talladega Superspeedway’s tripleheader weekend, culminating on Sunday, April 24 with the GEICO 500.

He started racing after becoming friends with Bobby Allison. Tarr's first race was at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on August 6, 1976.

Filbert Joseph Martocci, Jr. age 88 of Brentwood, TN passed away December 31, 2021 at his home.

Former Cup Series Owner Hiram Handy Dies at 87

Jeff served his country in the US Army during the Korean War Time. He enjoyed dirt track racing, motorcycle drag racing, and motorcycle hill climbing in the mountains of Virginia after serving in the US Army. Jeff very much lived and enjoyed his life to the fullest as a Nascar Car Owner and Nascar Driver of the car number 25 and car number 33.

Keith Ploughe, the 1966 ARCA Menards Series championship runner-up driver who raced in the series from 1959-78, died Dec. 29, 2021, at the age of 91.
