Front Row Motorsports Temporary Layoff Over 70 Employees Due to COVID-19

This is not the first NASCAR team to temporary layoff workers due to COVID-19, but was the first large scale layoffs of over 70 people.

Race Shops Close in North Carolina Due to Stay at Home Orders

North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper issued a stay at home order on March 27th for all of North Carolina. The stay at home closures included the NASCAR race tracks and race shops in the state.

All NASCAR Races Postponed Until May 3rd Due to COVID-19

Races at Atlanta and Homestead were postponed on Friday. This extension includes Texas, Bristol, Richmond, Talladega, and Dover.

Moffitt Injured in Motorcross Accident

GMS Racing No. 23 driver Brett Moffitt is recovering from surgery following an accident Saturday on a motocross bike in which he suffered a fracture in both of his legs. Moffitt is in very good spirits and his doctors expect a full recovery. Rehabilitation is estimated to take up to six to eight weeks. GMS Racing wishes Moffitt a full and speedy recovery and looks forward to his return.

NASCAR Postpones Atlanta & Homestead Races Due to COVID-19

“NASCAR has decided to postpone the race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend & Homestead-Miami Speedway next weekend. We believe this decision is in the best interest of the safety & well-being of our fans, competitors, officials and everyone associated with our sport.”

NASCAR to Race at Atlanta & Homestead Without Fans in Attendance

“At this time, NASCAR will hold its race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway without fans in attendance. These events will be restricted to competitors, crews, officials and other necessary personnel to conduct the race. We will work with public health officials as we determine future scheduling beyond these events.”
