Race Shops Close in North Carolina Due to Stay at Home Orders

North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper issued a stay at home order on March 27th for all of North Carolina. The stay at home closures included the NASCAR race tracks and race shops in the state.

Some NASCAR race shops were still open, operating at a part time basis such as Kyle Busch Motorsports, who announced on Sirius XM that past week that his employees are working in shifts to perform social distancing.

Brad Daugherty, co-owner of JTG Daugherty Racing announced that his team has all been sent home during this time currently with pay.

Several small NASCAR teams have temporary laid off employees. Also Indy Car along with Indianapolis Motor Speedway have had “sweeping” temporary layoffs during this time.
