On Point Motorsports has annoucned that long time team member Del Markle has died on Thursday at the age of 69.
“It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart to share with you the passing of Del Markle, a true staple of our organization. Del was the smartest, most versatile man that we’ve ever had the privilege of calling our teammate.”
The team will honor Del in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday night.
Del has worked with several NASCAR teams over the last four decades, including being an owner-driver in the ARCA Menards Series from 1989 to 1992, competing in four races driving his No. 86 Oldsmobile.
