"There are some things that are in the works now, but nothing I can really talk about or announce by any means at this point."
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series runner-up in the point standings, Zane Smith, is working with GMS Racing on sponsorship plans to return to the team full-time in 2022.
“There are some things that are in the works now, but nothing I can really talk about or announce by any means at this point,” Zane told Dave Moody Tuesday afternoon on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio’s program Sirius XM Speedway.
“It’s all hands on deck; fortunately, we have a great group of people around us from Prosport Management that is constantly searching and trying to put things together for next year.”
Zane was victorious at Martinsville Speedway to clinch a birth in his first Championship 4 appearance. He finished 5th in the race at Phoenix Raceway and second in the standings behind Champion Ben Rhodes.
