NASCAR announced Friday afternoon three race tracks that will loose race dates in 2020 due to the COVID-19 disease. Sonoma Raceway and Chicagoland Speedway will both loose their one and only race date, Richmond International Raceway will loose their spring race date.

NASCAR announced Friday afternoon three race tracks that will loose race dates in 2020 due to the COVID-19 disease. Sonoma Raceway and Chicagoland Speedway will both lose their one and only race date, Richmond International Raceway will lose their spring race date.
This follows NASCAR’s announcement that Darlington will add two race dates and Charlotte one race date in the month of May. This means race dates of Atlanta, Bristol, Texas, Talladega, Dover, and Martinsville are still expected to be made up at some point this season.
“Due to the current pandemic, NASCAR has faced several difficult decisions, including realigning race dates from several race tracks. These decisions were made following thorough collaboration with local and state government officials from across the country, including the areas of the affected race tracks. We thank all our fans for their support, and we look forward to our return to racing.” – NASCAR
NASCAR is expected to make an announcement for June’s race schedule following the first race at Darlington on May 17th.
