Drivers Organize Message About Social Justice Movement Prior to Atlanta Race

The race cars stopped on the front stretch for a moment of silence, a message from NASCAR president Steve Phelps, and finally a video message that featured 26 NASCAR Cup Series drivers and NASCAR personal titled "I Will Listen & Learn".

Before the start of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, NASCAR drivers planned and organized along with NASCAR a way to show acknowledgment towards the social justice movement following the recent death of George Floyd in Minnesota.

The race cars stopped on the front stretch for a moment of silence, a message from NASCAR president Steve Phelps, and finally, a video message that featured 26 NASCAR Cup Series drivers and NASCAR personal titled “I Will Listen & Learn.”

NASCAR and Fox Sports did a Folds of Honor on lap 113 in the Folds of Honor 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The honor was on lap 113 because of the 13 folds the American Flag receives when stored properly.
