Zachary Tinkle to Make ARCA Debute with Brandon Oakley Racing

In a last minute deal between Brandon Oakley Racing and Zachary Tinkle, the BOR team is quickly making preparations to ready the car and driver for the 200-lap NASCAR® ARCA Menards Series East race at 5 Flags Speedway scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Just coming off of a successful run at Speedweeks at New Smyrna Speedway, Brandon Oakley and Zachary Tinkle talked about racing and career goals while in the Sunshine State. Originally, Oakley was scheduled to race the #22 car fielded by his team of Brandon Oakley Racing, but graciously offered to hop out of the seat and give Zachary Tinkle a chance to race at the next level.

Brandon Oakley said “After talking with Zachary and his family I realized that I could make a greater impact on the sport by developing new young talent in the sport, rather than being behind the wheel myself. I’m looking forward to taking on this new challenge at this time in my career and think that Zachary can have success at this level.”

Zachary Tinkle commented, “I can’t thank Brandon enough for this opportunity. It kind of started out as me joking with him to let me run his car when we were sitting in the trailer at New Smyrna Speedway, but after Speedweeks, Brandon reached out and it became a more serious conversation. He has given me guidance when I’m on iRacing. I’ve stayed focused on my fitness and nutrition and am really looking forward to racing the #22 Toyota at 5 Flags Speedway. This is a dream come true for me.”

Fans unable to make the trip to Pensacola, Florida, can catch the event online or through the app as it will be streamed live on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.
