Vinnie Miller to Return to BJ McLeod Motorsports in 2020

BJ McLeod Motorsports (BJMM) announced today that Vinnie Miller will return to the No. 78 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) entry for the team in 2020 for the second year of a multi-year agreement. He signed with the team entering the 2019 season.

BJ McLeod Motorsports (BJMM) announced today that Vinnie Miller will return to the No. 78 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) entry for the team in 2020 for the second year of a multi-year agreement. He signed with the team entering the 2019 season.

Last season, Miller finished 23rd in NXS driver points standings, a drastic improvement from his 27th place driver points standings finish in 2018. He scored career-best 11th-place finish at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in the Circle K Firecracker 250 on July 5, 2019.

“We’re happy to continue our relationship with Vinnie,” said team owner BJ McLeod. “He did a great job for us last season and proved to everyone why we wanted to work with him. I have no doubt that we will see some strong runs from the No. 78 group this season.”

This will be Miller’s third full-time season in the NXS. He grew up racing on the short tracks of Michigan and has ARCA Menards Series experience. He finished 7th in his only NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series start at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in the Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola on October 14, 2017.

“To say I’m pumped up to get to Daytona is an understatement,” said Vinnie Miller. “Overall our 2019 season was a success and I’m looking for more in 2020. BJ and Jessica (McLeod) have been the best thing that has happened to me in my career. They believe in me and have given me the tools to learn and improve each and every week. Being able to keep the No. 78 team together, led by (crew chief) Keith Wolfe is something I’ve never really gotten to do year-over-year and think that will help us get off to a very strong start.”

The 2020 NXS season begins on February 15, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. ET live on FS1 and MRN with the NASCAR Racing Experience 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

For the first race of the season, the No. 78 BJMM Toyota Supra will wear new colors. Welcoming to the team new partner UAP.ORG. UAP generates public awareness, funds legal representation, and provides reintegration support for our nation’s warriors. To know more about their mission and how to donate, visit www.uap.org.

Additional Sponsorship for the No. 78 team will be announced at a later date.
