"The track will need to accommodate fans, campers, and sponsors to make the event work from a financial standpoint."
The NASCAR Gander and RV Truck Series may not return to the famous Ohio based dirt race track in 2020, Eldora Speedway.
The track was slated to compete on July 30th of this season, but with NASCAR’s announcement of racing now through August 2nd, there has been no mention of the Truck Series hitting the dirt this summer.
Roger Slack from Eldora Speedway told Bob Pockrass with Fox Sports that the track will need to accommodate fans, campers, and sponsors to make the event work from a financial standpoint.
NASCAR and Eldora are currently postponing the event to see if Ohio will eventually lift its ban on spectators at sporting events in hopes of being able to hold the event later in the season. If that does not happen in time, expect the race to be canceled.
