Longtime sponsor to NASCAR driver Michael Annett, Pilot Flying J will leave NASCAR ahead of the 2022 season after a 14-year commitment to the sport as first reported by Dustin Albino from Jayski.com.

Annett has carried the red, yellow, and white colors of Pilot Flying J and TMC Transportation in the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Cup Series since 2007 for a total of 446 races.

In early October, Annett announced he will retire from NASCAR after being sidelined for seven races in the 2021 season due to a stress fracture in his right femur.

Sam Mayer will drive the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports in 2022. Sponsorship is expected to be announced in the coming weeks for Mayer ahead of the 2022 season.
