NY Racing to Compete for Full Cup Schedule in 2021, Johnny Sauter to Drive?

NY Racing has confirmed with Chris Knight from Catchfence.com that the team will return in 2021 and has plans to compete for the full season.

NY Racing has confirmed with Chris Knight from Catchfence.com that the team will return in 2021 and has plans to compete for the full season.

The team owned by John Cohen who last competed in the series with the No. 7 and J.J. Yeley competing for the team.

A leaked photo suggest that the team will return to the No. 44 which they last races in 2016 since Spire Motorsports will now race the No. 7 in 2021 with Corey LaJoie.

In the leaked photo names Johnny Sauter as the driver for the No. 44 Ford Mustang for the Daytona 500. Sauter who has 85 starts in the NASCAR Cup Series last competed in the 2015 Daytona 500 for BK Racing.

Johnny Sauter has already been announced to return to ThorSport Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series full time in 2021.
