Nashville Superspeedway was built in 2001 by Dover Motorsports, Inc. and hosted Xfinity, ARCA, Truck, and Indy car events through 2011 when the track closed.
Dover Motorsports, who also owns Dover International Speedway, continues to own the track since it shut its doors in late 2011.
“The anticipation is to operate the facility for a long time,” Dover Motorsports Chief Operating Officer Mike Tatoian told The Tennessean.
