Kyle Busch used a last-lap tussle between leader Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott to pass both the second Busch Clash win of his career.
Busch started 16th in the 21 car field in the first race of the NASCAR Season, the exhibition Busch Clash on the Daytona International Speedway Road Course.
Blaney, the pole-sitter, was leading heading into the front stretch chicane with NASCAR’s Road Course King Elliott when the two made contact. This sent Blaney into the outside wall, and slowed Elliott, allowing Busch the opportunity he needed to slip through for the win. Elliott recovered to finish second with Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick and William Byron rounding out the top 5.
