Jesse Love Rolls to ARCA West Win at Irwindale

Love’s No. 19 NAPA Power Premium Plus Toyota won his first career General Tire Pole Award and led nearly every lap. He pulled away on a late-race restart to win by .680 seconds over Huddleston. Four races into his ARCA career, Love has two wins and two runner-up finishes.

A week after collecting his first career ARCA Menards Series West win, Jesse Love held off one of the most decorated drivers at Irwindale Speedway Saturday evening to chalk up win No. 2.

The 15-year-old from Menlo Park, California, held off Trevor Huddleston to win the ENEOS 125 presented by NAPA Auto Parts.

Love’s No. 19 NAPA Power Premium Plus Toyota won his first career General Tire Pole Award and led nearly every lap. He pulled away on a late-race restart to win by .680 seconds over Huddleston. Four races into his ARCA career, Love has two wins and two runner-up finishes.

Love became the seventh different Bill McAnally Racing driver wo win at Irwindale since the track opened in 1999, and gave BMR its 14th win at the southern California half-mile.

Huddleston, the defending race winner and three-time Late Model champion at the track his father now owns, settled for second.

Love’s BMR teammate Gracie Trotter fended off Huddleston’s Sunrise Ford teammate Blaine Perkins for third. Devin Dodson rounded out the top five.

Johnny Borneman, Todd Souza, Dustin Ash, Lawless Alan and Takuma Koga completed the top 10.

The race streamed live on TrackPass on NBC Gold; it will re-air on NBCSN on Saturday, July 11 at 11 p.m. ET.
