Jeffery Earnhardt announced Tuesday morning on Facebook that he will not return to the No. 0 JD Motorsports entry in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the 2022 season.

“As we turn to the 2022 season I’ve decided I’m going to seek out race-winning opportunities as sponsorship permits. My goal has always been to win races and if that means less races in winning equipment that’s what we’ll do as we build our sponsor base.” Earnhardt wrote in a post.

Jeffery Earnhardt, the grandson to Dale Earnhardt, has a total of 131 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, 58 of them with JD Motorsports in 2020 and 2021.

Earnhardt also has 76 NASCAR Cup Series starts including a full season in 2017 for the now-defunct Circle Sport Racing.
