Jamie McMurray to the No. 42 for CGR?

As of Tuesday, McMurray reportedly has spoken to several members of the Ganassi organization.

Motorsport.com is reporting that Jamie McMurray is considering a fill-in ride for the No. 42 recently vacated by Kyle Larson earlier in the week at Chip Ganassi Racing.

McMurray is currently a driver coach for Chip Ganassi Racing following his retirement as a driver from the team following the Daytona 500 in 2019.

As of Tuesday, McMurray reportedly has spoken to several members of the Ganassi organization about a potential ride.

McMurray is currently an analyst for Fox Sports.
