Late Thursday night, the NY Racing Team’s Instagram page teased a post indicating the team might race a Chevrolet in the future.
The team announced they would race the full NASCAR Cup Series schedule in 2021 before the season started; however, they failed to enter any events.
The NY Racing Team was previously known as Xxxtreme Motorsport, and Team Xtreme Racing made a total of 17 starts from 2012 to 2018 with various drivers.
The team has used the No. 7 and No. 44 in past seasons. The team was expected to race the No. 44 in the 2021 season.
