Former NASCAR Driver JC Stout to Debute New Xfinity Series Team in 2021

The team purchased chassis from Joe Gibbs Racing and is looking to compete in 10-12 races.

For the 2022 NASCAR season, SQR Development, owned by former Xfinity Series driver JC Stout, will field Toyotas in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The team purchased chassis from Joe Gibbs Racing and is looking to compete in 10-12 races.

The first race will come on April 2 at Richmond Raceway, and the team has been talking to a few drivers with notable names.

SQR Development will announce a car number at a later date but will run Pro Motor Engines with longtime engine builder Tony Corrente. Rick Ren will be a consultant to the team. The team’s shop will be located in Mooresville, N.C.

“I can’t reiterate enough that I’ve been more than blessed to have learned from some of the best businessmen, mechanics, team owners, crew chiefs, engine builders, whether at a regional short track level where at one time we may have been foes or on a NASCAR National level,” Stout said.

In addition to starting the Xfinity Series team, Stout is running for New York State Governor in 2022.
