David Ragan announced moments ago on his twitter page that the 34 year old will return to the drivers seat for one race, the Daytona 500 next month.

David Ragan will race a Front Row Motorsports Ford Mustang prepared car, however will race under the Rick Ware Racing banner. Ragan’s number will be #36 and will have spnosorship from Select Blinds.

Front Row Motorsports announced in December that the team will scale back to a two car team in 2020, leasing its third racing charter in the Cup Series. Although the new charter holder was never named, it was believed to be leased to Rick Ware Racing as that team plans to race three cars full time in 2020.

Rick Ware Racing has already announced that JJ Yeley and Joey Gase will race for the team full time in 2020, and it was expected for the third ride to be rotated with different drivers and sponsors.

An official announcement from Front Row Motorsports and/or Rick Ware Racing is expected to be forthcoming.
