CMI Motorsports Returns with Bayley Currey for Partial 2020 Truck Season

UPDATE: CMI Motorsports is proud to welcome Bayley Currey on board the No. 49 Chevrolet Silverado for the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Strat 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on February 21.

Currey is no stranger to competing in NASCAR and has spent time in all three of NASCAR’s top three series, including competing in all three series in 2019. The Texas native is excited to get back behind the wheel this season.

“I’m super excited to get back behind the wheel this season and pumped about the opportunity with Ray (Ciccarelli),” said Currey. “He has some great equipment and is an awesome guy to work with.”

Ciccarelli is equally excited to have a driver of Currey’s caliber behind the wheel and he believes that talent will be showcased on the race track in the No. 49.

“I’m excited to have him on board with us in Las Vegas,” said Ray Ciccarelli owner of CMI Motorsports. “I’ve been lucky enough to race against him and watch him off the track and I think he’s the next super star.”

The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Strata 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will take place on Friday February 21 at 9:00 PM ET on FS1.

ORIGINAL POST (January 24, 2020): CMI Motorsports announced on Twitter that Ray Ciccarelli will pilot the #49 Ciccarelli Moving & Installations Chevrolet in the first five races of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.

Ciccarelli competed in 9 races for the team in 2020, and failed to make four races.

The team is looking for additional sponsorship for the 2020 season to run additional races and possible a full time effort.
