NASCAR Likely to Postpone NextGen Car Until 2022

After some pressure from certain teams in the NASCAR Cup Series garage, manufactures like Toyota, and the Race Team Alliance, NASCAR could make an announcement later this week about a possible postponement for the new NASCAR Cup Series NextGen race car until 2022 due to lack of preparedness from COVID-19.

"Once the decision was made to go that direction, we tested different lug nut options. With the loads on the larger wheels, we had to make sure that the wheel would remain securely fastened the car.
