Bass Pro Shops Continue Sponsorship at Richard Childress Racing

Richard Childress Racing and Bass Pro Shops continue their long-standing relationship in 2021 beginning with the Daytona 500, where Austin Dillon will compete for his second victory in the Great American Race in the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Off Road Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE.

RCR’s long-standing partnership with America’s premier outdoor and conservation company first began in 1998 with an associate sponsorship of RCR’s No. 3 Chevrolet with legendary driver Dale Earnhardt. Over the years, The Bass Pro Shops brand has been featured on a variety of RCR Chevrolets, including NASCAR Cup Series entries driven by Kevin Harvick and Kerry Earnhardt, and includes races with Bass Pro Shops’ brand Cabela’s with Ryan Newman.

For Austin Dillon, Bass Pro Shops is truly family. His career began as a child when he and his brother Ty tested a bandolero car at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The sponsor for those first races? Bass Pro Shops. Throughout every step of his career, including his early days racing dirt Late Models around the country, Bass Pro Shops has played a starring role. Major career milestones, including a NASCAR Truck Series Championship, a NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship, and wins in the NASCAR Cup Series, have all been with the support of Johnny Morris and Bass Pro Shops store managers, store associates and Tracker dealers.

The relationship with America’s premier outdoor and conservation company extends far beyond the logo on a hood. It has led to many great times in the woods and on the water. It has also served as a vessel to bring awareness to the importance of conservation.

There is a permanent display located within the Richard Childress Racing Museum in Welcome, North Carolina dedicated to wildlife and outdoor conservation. The display was installed by Bass Pro Shops representatives and showcases many of the animal trophies that Childress has taken over the years. Organizations actively involved in the conservation of the nation’s wildlife and natural resources, such as The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, The North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation, the National Wild Turkey Federation and Ducks Unlimited, are also prominently featured in the display.

Catch Dillon and the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Off Road Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE live in the Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 14 beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX, and throughout the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.
