August Cup Schedule Expected to be Released This Week – 6 Races Planned

NASCAR is expected to announce the remaining schedule of the regular 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season later this week.

NASCAR stated their goal is to not have the NASCAR playoff schedule be effected due to COVID-19. If that happens the final six races of the regular season will need to be crammed into a four week period.

NASCAR has announced its current schedule through August 1st at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The playoffs are scheduled to start on September 6th at Darlington Raceway.

The six races that are expected to be announced are:

One race at Watkins Glen, two races at Michigan, two races at Dover, and one race Daytona to finish the regular season.

Michigan International Speedway and Dover International Speedway have both stated they are planning on a double-header race later this season.
