Alpha Prime Racing Expecting to Compete with Second Car in Select Xfinity Series Races

Drivers, number, sponsors, and crew for the second team will be announced at a later date.

Alpha Prime Racing, formally known as Martins Motorsports, discussed in an interview with TobyChristie.com‘s Michael Carey, that the team will likely field a second car for select NASCAR Xfinity Series races at superspeedway and road course events in 2022.

“As of now, the speedways of Daytona and Talladega, we are planning on running two cars,” Tommy Joe Martins, owner of Alpha Prime Racing told Michael Carey. “I’d look for us to bring two to some of the road course races.”

The team has already announced several drivers that will compete in the team’s flagship No. 44 in 2022 including Tommy Joe Martins, Caesar Bacarella, Rajah Caruth, Ryan Ellis, and Andy Lally.

Drivers, number, sponsors, and crew for the second team will be announced at a later date.
