Veteran Driver Landon Cassill Will Not Compete at Daytona in 2020

NASCAR Veteran, Landon Cassill has found himself out after loosing a game of musical chairs during the NASCAR Silly Season the last couple of months.

Last we have heard from Cassill on his 2020 plans, he said despite Quin Houff replacing him at the StarCom Racing in the No.00 for 2020, he still plans on racing for the team in a full time ride.

That has shown to not come to flurition after Cassill confirmed with Bob Pockrass from FOX Sports that Cassill will not be racing in any series at Daytona for 2020.

The StarCom Racing team has in recent weeks been hinting at running one full time car and one part time car (No.99) for the 2020 season. The team has updated their website to mention that the No.99 is part time, and recent social media post a referring to the No.00 as their “full time entry” for the season.

It is possible that Cassill could return to StarCom Racing in a part time role for 2020. Cassill is also expected to compete for Morgan Shepherd in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for select races in 2020.
