North Wilkesboro Speedway is alive and well, or at least will be soon.
Earlier in the week, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper passed the state’s 2022 legislation spending plan that includes venue improvements to several race tracks in the state, including North Wilkesboro Speedway, Rockingham Speedway, and Charlotte Motor Speedway.
After the spending bill passed Governor Cooper’s desk, Speedway Motorsports Inc. immediately launched a new website and social media platforms for the soon to be renovated North Wilkesboro Speedway.
The phrase “WILKESBORO HAD GOOD TIMES, BUT THE BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD” is posted on the homepage of their website.
The eighteen-million dollar construction project is expected to start in 2022.
