NASCAR Looking at May and June Potential Races

NASCAR has released a planned race schedule to teams in May and June once we go back racing.

Matt Weaver from Autoweek obtained the planned schedule from a Cup Series race team. No official announcement has been made yet from NASCAR.

The current plan is for NASCAR to return to action on May 17th at Darlington Raceway for a 400-mile race. Three days later, NASCAR will return once again to Darlington Raceway on May 20th for a 310-mile race.

The Coca-Cola 600 is scheduled to compete on its original date of May 24th and then will return to Charlotte again three days later to compete in a 310-mile race.

North and South Carolina are some of the only states in the union to lift lockdown restrictions, which will allow race tracks in these states to race in May.

Here is the planned schedule through mid-June:

  • Sunday May 17 | Darlington 400
  •  Wednesday May 20 | Darlington 310
  •  Sunday May 24 | Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte
  •  Wednesday May 27 | Charlotte 310
  •  Sunday May 31 | Martinsville
  •  Wednesday June 3 | Bristol
  •  Sunday June 7 | Atlanta
  •  Sunday June 14 | Miami

There have been no word on what a potential Xfinity, Truck, or ARCA schedule might look like.

As of right now, this is a tentative schedule planned without fans attending. We will keep you posted once NASCAR announces the schedule.
