Morgan Shepherd Racing Refuses to Race Until Qualifying Returns

Morgan Shepherd Racing took to Twitter on Monday, stating that the team will not be racing until Darlington at the earliest in the NASCAR Xfinity Series due to NASCAR’s current ban on qualifying.

The team has competed in four races this season (Vegas, Auto Club, Phoenix, Darlington) all with driver, Landon Cassill.

According to people familiar with the Xfinity Series prize money, since NASCAR expanded the field size to 40 cars, some teams who finish towards the back are only getting $4500 per race.
