Henry Ford Health System to Sponsor Michigan Truck Series Race

The upcoming NASCAR weekend at Michigan International Speedway – August 7-9 – will commence with a familiar name. The weekend-opening NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck race will be sponsored by Henry Ford Health System and will be called the Henry Ford Health System 200. The race, which will be the first of four over the course of three days, will be run on Friday, August 7 at 6:00 pm and will be televised nationally on FS1.

“Henry Ford Health System is proud to be connected to Michigan International Speedway and even prouder to be the 2020 title sponsor for the Henry Ford Health System 200 taking place August 8,” said Paula Autry, Senior Vice President and CEO, Central Market, Henry Ford Health System. “It is unique to have a gem like MIS in our backyard to attract national sports figures and fans from around the U.S. And although the pandemic has limited every speedway’s ability to engage fans, we couldn’t be more impressed with MIS and how they have evolved to put NASCAR fans in the center of the action.”

“Henry Ford Health System not only brings a name that people equate with the state of Michigan, but also someone with whom we already have a tremendous partnership,” said Michigan International Speedway President Rick Brenner. “Through this partnership, we teamed to provide our fans tremendous race-day experiences in the past, which we will do again in the future. They have been known as one of the top healthcare providers in the state for many years, and we are excited to have them as an integral part of our upcoming NASCAR weekend.”

In August 2019, the new Infield Care Center at MIS was unveiled as the Henry Ford Health System Infield Care Center. In addition, they were the sponsor of the program which offered Pit Passes for kids 12 & under.
