Former ARCA Racer, Tony Schiller Passes Away at Age 93

Tony Schiller, drove to eight top-10 finishes in 104 starts in his ARCA Racing Series career in the 1960s & 1970s, and finished a career best 15th in ARCA final point standings in 1973, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 in his hometown of Frankfort, Kentucky at age 93.

A native of Frankfort, Schiller owned and operated a number of service stations throughout Franklin County Kentucky for 30 years. His driving career spanned 27 years, and his top-10 finishes in the ARCA Series came at a wide variety of tracks including Nashville, Salem, Louisville Fairgrounds, Winchester and Talladega.

He was inducted into the Kentucky Motorsports Hall of Fame in October of 2014.

Tony Schiller was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ann J. Schiller and his youngest daughter, Toni Sanderson. He is survived by children Darlene Martin (Jim) and Patti Schiller. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A drive through visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, September 4, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home, Frankfort Kentucky with graveside service to follow, at 12:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
