NASCAR announced Tuesday afternoon a new procedure for setting the field for the races at Darlington and Charlotte later this month.

NASCAR today announced the next installment of events in its return to racing, featuring races at Pocono Raceway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Kansas Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

In advance of the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 NASCAR Cup Series race, Blue-Emu, NASCAR and Martinsville Speedway (Martinsville) will honor frontline healthcare workers at Sovah Health – Martinsville as they continue to battle the effects of COVID-19 in Martinsville and Henry County, Va. on Monday, June 8 at 2 p.m.

"We have Chase (Briscoe) on stand-by if this happens to one of our drivers. We have his racing seat and belts in our racing haulers since Darlington in case this issue comes up," said Childers.

Michael McDowell will once again pilot the No. 34 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series, while Anthony Alfredo will drive the No. 38 Ford Mustang in his first year at the Cup level.
