He first competed in the NASCAR Cup Series in 1999 running with the #85 Mansion Motorsports Team.

“When the 2020 season started, I looked at the schedule to see what races I could drive and have some fun without taking anything away from my other teams,” said MBM Motorsports owner/driver Carl Long. “Martinsville was one of the premier races in Late Model Stock early on in my career. I look forward to going back there and talking trash to my other drivers, Timmy Hill and Chad Finchum with my old, fat self! The whole organization in having fun with me wanting to go out there and showing those guys up! We are still looking for some sponsorship for my car and if any local businesses want to hop on board we can make a tremendous deal for them.”

MBM Motorsports best finishes in the Cup Series has been 15th this year at Talladega and 19th at Bristol with driver Timmy Hill. Hill also had a 3rd place finish in the Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona.
