Boris Said Teaming Up with MBM Motorsports for Cup Series Races in 2022

UPDATES: MBM Motorsports has confirmed on Facebook that Boris Said will compete for the team in some road course races in 2022. The team is currently looking for a driver/sponsor combo for the Daytona 500 and additional oval races for 2022.

ORIGINAL POST: It looks like we might see a return from Boris Said in the NASCAR Cup Series for 2022.

Wednesday afternoon a brand new Next-Gen Ford Mustang race car from MBM Motorsports was spotted as business started setting up for this weekend’s Performance Racing Industry Show that will take place in Indianapolis.

The car was set up in the Power Source Electric’s booth and was sponsored on the race car. Power Source Electric is an authorized dealer for both Generac and Cummins generators.

The Racing Insiders reached out to someone familiar with MBM Motorsports and was told we will hear an announcement in the near future.

No word how many races Said could compete in, the team has already announced they will race a limited Cup Series schedule in 2022.

Said last competed in the NASCAR Cup Series for the now-defunct Go Green Racing back in 2017. Said has a total of 54 NASCAR Cup Series starts with two top 5 finishes.

MBM Motorsports and Boris Said did team up in 2021 competing in two NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Road America and Circuit of the Americas.

An announcement is expected in the coming days during the PRI Show.
