ARCA Menards Series Announces 2021 Races to Open Season

Three races across two series are scheduled for February to begin the 2021 ARCA Menards season. All three will take place in Florida.

The action will begin Monday, Feb. 8 with the ARCA Menards Series East season-opener at New Smyrna Speedway. The 175-lap feature event will headline that night’s World Series of Asphalt Racing activities. The race will be streamed live on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.

The event will mark the eighth consecutive year the East Series has began its season at the half-mile oval in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

On the following Saturday (Feb. 13), the ARCA Menards Series will begin its 69th season with the Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire at Daytona International Speedway. It will be the first time in the series’ 58-year history at the 2.5-mile oval that the race will take place the day before the Daytona 500, sharing the stage in a same-day doubleheader with the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The race will be televised live on FS1.

The ARCA Menards Series East will close the month with a 200-lapper at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola on Saturday, Feb. 27. That race will also be streamed live on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.

Last year’s ARCA Menards Series East race at the half-mile oval in Pensacola, Florida, was originally scheduled as the second race of the season as it is in 2021, but it was moved to October as part of the series’ schedule changes amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It wound up being the final race of the season, as Sam Mayer took the checkered flag and the title.

The annual ARCA Menards Series preseason test at Daytona is set for Friday and Saturday, Jan. 15-16, with Sunday, Jan. 17 reserved as the weather date.

The rest of the 2021 schedules for the ARCA Menards Series, the ARCA Menards Series East and the ARCA Menards Series West will be announced in the near future.
